iGlance is a free macOS system monitoring application that displays key system metrics in real-time via the menu bar. This tool is fully open-source, licensed under GPL-3.0, allowing users to instantly grasp their computer’s operational status.

Installation Methods
Method 1: Manual Installation

Important Warnings
Statement Regarding the iStats X App
The development team emphasizes: iGlance has no relation whatsoever to the "iStats X: CPU & Memory" app available on the App Store. iStats X is a replica of an older version of this application and displays random, fabricated data for temperature and fan speed.
Reasons:
- App Store applications lack direct access to CPU temperature readings
- iStats X cannot download necessary helper tools (which cannot be distributed outside the App Store)
- The displayed data does not match actual system status
Development Status
- Current Status: Project is no longer actively maintained
- Last Planned Version: Version 2.1 was intended to include settings import/export functionality and related tests
