Introduction

uPic (short for upload Picture) is a dedicated image hosting (file hosting) client designed for Mac. Its core design philosophy is to make your file upload operations extremely simple and efficient.

Core Concept

With just one simple action—such as taking a screenshot, dragging and dropping, or selecting a file—uPic automatically handles the upload. During the upload, the menu bar displays real-time progress. Once complete, the file’s link is automatically copied to your clipboard. Whether you’re writing a blog, chatting online, or editing documents, you can quickly insert image links, significantly improving your productivity.

The link format can be customized to suit your needs—whether plain URL, HTML, or Markdown—giving you full control.

Installation Methods

1. Mac App Store (Recommended):
   • Search for “uPic” in the Mac App Store and download and install it.
   • Note: The App Store version will always be up-to-date. Other installation methods may remain on older versions (e.g., v0.21.1).

Important Note: After the first launch of uPic, please ensure to grant permissions in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen Recording and Full Disk Access to enable screenshot and file access functionality.
