Basic Configuration

Log in to iCloud

Trackpad Settings

  1. Enable Tap to Click. It is disabled by default; it is recommended to turn it on.

  1. Increase the cursor’s tracking speed. The default cursor movement speed when using the trackpad is too slow (the default value is at the center of the slider). You can increase it:

Keyboard Settings

  1. Enable Function Keys (fn):

The top row of keys on the keyboard (e.g., F2 key) typically performs system functions (like increasing brightness) by default, not the F2 function. To trigger the F2 function, you need to press the globe icon + F2.

To make pressing F2 directly invoke the F2 function, enable the Function Keys (fn) option. The steps are:

Dock Bar

By default, the Dock contains many frequently used apps, mostly system applications:

Remove all these default apps from the Dock, keeping only the Finder app:
