Tips for Using iPhone & iOS
Settings
iOS Warm Color Temperature Adjustment
Go to Settings → Display & Brightness → Night Shift.
After sunset, Night Shift automatically shifts the screen color toward the warmer end of the spectrum. This helps improve your sleep quality at night.
3D Touch [Recommended]
Location:
Navigate to Settings → General → Accessibility → 3D Touch.
Compatibility:
The following iOS devices support 3D Touch: iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max.
How to Use:
Press the screen or app with increasing pressure — you need to apply force to activate 3D Touch.
Note: This is not a long press; it’s a quick, firm press.
Use Case 1: Quickly access simple functions of desktop apps
For example, you can quickly bring up WeChat’s “Scan” feature:

Use Case 2: Bring up multitasking interface
This feature is exclusive to iPhone 6s, 7 series, and 8 series. Press and hold on the left side of the screen, then swipe left to open multitasking.
Quick Screenshot
Location:
Go to Settings → General → Accessibility → AssistiveTouch → Custom Actions.
For example, I set “Long Press” to trigger the “Screenshot” function:

With this setup, a long press on the virtual button will directly take a screenshot.
Enable iOS Video Recording Function
Go to Settings → Control Center → Custom Controls.
Tap Home Button to Unlock
Location:
Navigate to Settings → General → Accessibility → Home Button, scroll to the bottom, and turn on “Tap to Wake”.
Note: “Tap to Wake” does not mean tapping the Home button will light up and unlock the screen. Instead, after lifting the iPhone to wake it, you can unlock it by simply tapping the screen once.
Common Tips
001 Universal Clipboard (Copy & Paste Between Mac and iPhone)
With “Universal Clipboard”, you can copy text, images, photos, or videos on one Apple device and paste them on another.
To use Universal Clipboard, ensure both your Mac and iPhone have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Handoff (called “接力” in Chinese) enabled.
Enable Handoff on Mac:
Go to System Preferences → General, and check “Allow Handoff between this Mac and iCloud devices”.
Enable Handoff on iPhone:
Go to Settings → General → Handoff.

002 Add Certificate Trust Settings
Go to Settings → General → About → Certificate Trust Settings.
Remember to disable certificate trust when not needed.
003 How to Reject Calls on iPhone
When unlocked: Incoming calls show a “Decline” button.
When locked: There is no “Decline” button — only “Remind Me”, “Message”, and “Slide to Answer” appear. To reject a call while locked:
- Method 1: Tap “Remind Me” — the call will be declined and a reminder to call back will be set (similar to previous “Decline”, but with a reminder added).
- Method 2: Tap “Message”, select a message to send — the chosen message will be sent automatically, and the call will be rejected.
- Method 3: Press the power button twice — the call will be declined.
- Additional Tip: Press any volume button while locked to mute the phone.
